The ancient Hebrews and authors of Genesis were most likely NOT telling a material origin story in Genesis. Their task was something much greater than biology or physics (both of which were not even concepts in the minds of humanity at that point).
They were seeking to reveal the cosmic creator as an accessible, knowable, and yet wholly “other” Elohim who creates a space for his very creative and then inhabits that space with His Divine Presence.
**WARNING – this episode will be unashamedly sciencey with a detailed look at light and vibration. (weird right, given that I just said Genesis isn’t a scientific story…. come and see!)
