The above video is a few words I shared about the establishment of the nation of Israel. The 70th-anniversary celebration of Israel’s modern statehood took place on May 14th, 2018. It was held at The Coming King Prayer and Sculpture Garden in Kerrville, TX. If you’re in or driving through the Hill Country area, I highly recommend you go see this free attraction.
The event was hosted by Louada Raschke Ministries and included speakers and prayer leaders from across the area.
It also coincided with President Trump moving the American Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. This was a monumentally significant event. We discuss a few of the reasons in the video, but it centers around our earthly government finally agreeing with heaven about Jerusalem.
King David established Jerusalem as the undivided eternal capital of Israel more than 3000 years ago. He then longed to build a Temple to God. He wanted this to be more grand and permanent than the tabernacle where the Ark of the Covenant rested. To accomplish this task David sought to count the people in his land by taking a census. Instead of asking them to all bring an offering he chose to number then. However, according to Exodus 30:11-16, a census of the people could not be conducted in this fashion. Why was this an issue with God?
What we discover is that kings can establish a nation and a seat of power. But to usher in the presence of God, the people must be involved. And all must be equal.
